Well, it was nice to have a day of rest yesterday, with no exercise looming ahead of me to dread. It was a bit weird, but I got over it with judicious applications of couch to my ass. Ahhh, works every time.
I am a little worried at how much the weight loss has slowed down, and what that means for achieving my goal. It definitely isn't as easy as it was when I was in my 20s...dangggg. I had hoped to be under 200 by the end of June. I think I'll be happy with 205 at this point! I don't feel like I've been lazy or undedicated in my eating or exercise though. Pretty proud of myself actually.
Today I had Raisin Bran for breakfast (have you ever eaten a raisin that tasted like dirt? At least I think it was a raisin...hmmm....perhaps best not to think about it). At work I had my nutribar for lunch, and for a snack a whole whack of red, green and yellow bell peppers. I looove the red and yellow...so sweet! I had Jason cut them up for me when he was prepping the veggies for chili. Thank you hubby! I would have had carrots too, but my fridge seems to have suffered a cold snap, and they were frozen this morning! Eeep! When I got home, I decided to have few prunes and a handful of almonds for a snack. Dinner...now get this...was chili again! Lol...we made so much! Jason had some for lunch, and there was still enough for two more meals left! I couldn't bring myself to throw it away, so I had a bit more. This may not have been a wise choice for my digestive tract...that's a whole lotta beans.
I was worried that after my first day off it would be harder to get on the bike today, but nope. I didn't really want to do it. But I did it. At the end I cranked 'er to level 5 and tried that for a minute. OUCHY on the leg muscles! I really want to move up to that level eventually. Oh yeah baby, rock hard thighs! I did my sit-up routine after as well. I can really feel those muscles coming in under the lovely layer of protective padding I have there. Protection for what you ask? Er...um...head butting goats? They are out there, people!
Stats for the day:
Weight: 209
Exercise: 35 min. med-high intensity

Back on the horse? Back on the wagon, more like it. You are my inspiration!
Tammy, Tammy!
She's our (wo)man!
If she can't do it...
I'm eating a whole gallon of ice cream
No pressure or anything, though, girl.
